Welcome to Monticello Nature Based Program!
Monticello Nature-Based Education is part of the Monticello Public Schools located at the Bertram Chain of Lakes Regional Park. We currently provide classes for Pre-K, kindergarten, 4th and 5th grade students. Nature Based students are immersed in the outdoors each day. Students learn and play outside, using their environment to achieve the same learning standards as their peers do in a brick-and-mortar setting. Nature is our classroom!

This week, we proudly recognize our School Resource Officers in honor of School Resource Officer Appreciation Day (February 15).
Our SROs are trusted partners in fostering safe, supportive, and welcoming learning environments for our students and staff. In classrooms and hallways, at activities and events, and during both everyday moments and challenging times, they show up with professionalism, compassion, and care. They understand that strong relationships and mutual respect are foundational to a positive school climate.
On behalf of our entire school community, we extend our sincere gratitude to our School Resource Officers. Thank you for your commitment, your partnership, and your unwavering dedication to protecting and uplifting our schools each and every day.

On February 18, we’re celebrating the incredible bus drivers from Hoglund Transportation who safely transport our Monticello students every day.
Rain, snow, early mornings, and busy afternoons—you’re there with a smile, a wave, and a commitment to keeping students safe. Our drivers are often the first and last school connection each day, and their impact matters more than they know.
Thank you, Hoglund Transportation, for being such an essential partner in our school community. We appreciate you today and every day!

Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now OPEN! Please click here to visit our enrollment page and register online.
This online registration is for both Eastview Education Center and consideration for our Nature Base Kindergarten class. It is important to register early so that we are able to plan for staffing and class sizes.

Eastview Education Center is excited to welcome future preschool students and their families to our Preschool Open House on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
This event is a great opportunity to explore our preschool programs, meet the teachers, and get a glimpse of the engaging learning environment we offer.
Preschool registration opens online on March 5 at 8:00 a.m. at monticello.ce.eleyo.com.
